"ClubLink Announces Lakeside At Rocky Crest, A Fractional Ownership Vacation Community"
16:57 EST Thursday, March 31, 2005
KING CITY, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 31, 2005) - ClubLink Corporation ("ClubLink") (TSX:LNK) announced today that one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries has made a formal application to Seguin Township for Lakeside at Rocky Crest, a proposed 147 unit multi-phase redevelopment of the existing 65 unit Delta Rocky Crest Resort at the north end of Lake Joseph in Muskoka.
These vacation homes are designed in the quintessential Arts and Crafts Muskoka-style by renowned architect Richard Wengle. Richard has designed some of ClubLink's most notable and beautiful clubhouse facilities, including Grandview and Glencairn. Lakeside at Rocky Crest will offer purchasers a selection of cottage, cabin, villa and lodge accommodation, 147 vacation homes in total. Each two, three and four bedroom vacation home includes a transferable Rocky Crest Golf Club principal membership and will be fully furnished and accessorized down to dishes and cutlery in the kitchen. The Lakeside at Rocky Crest vacation homes will be offered for sale in 1/4 and 1/5 fractions or a purchaser may choose to purchase outright the vacation home that best suits their family and lifestyle requirements.
Anticipated amenities include: In the summer, residents will enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges at our award winning Rocky Crest Golf Club, hiking on many groomed and wilderness trails, a fully equipped teen centre, childrens' club, movie theatre and, of course, water sports and activities on the scenic shores of Lake Joseph or Armishaw Lake, or just simply relaxing beside the private outdoor swimming pool. In the winter, residents will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Muskoka covered in a blanket of pure white snow, invigorating cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hockey and skating on the lakes, as well as indoor activities at the adult fitness centre, teen centre, residents lounge and movie theatre, or owners may simply choose to cozy in and curl up with a good book in front of their fireplace.
Management expects that formal approval of the application may be obtained as early as June, 2005. Construction for each of the five phases will be commenced only after acceptable levels of pre-sales have been achieved. The redevelopment will not affect operations at the Delta Rocky Crest Resort in 2005 or 2006. By redeveloping this asset, ClubLink seeks to generate an improved return on its non-golf assets in Muskoka and exit the resort business at Rocky Crest.
ClubLink, founded in 1993, is Canada's largest owner, operator and developer of golf clubs.
