Counting in Fractions

Adele Cygelman, Editor in Chief of Robb Report (Vacation Homes - Spring 2005) reports that the success of fractional ownership in the United States has shocked the real estate industry. Overwhelmingly, purchasers are attracted to the idea of ownership, without the inherent maintenance responsibilities. Her view of shared-ownership vacation home is echoed by Dick Ragatz, of Ragatz Associates who suggests that, "the industry is a long way from peaking".
